A common cylinder head issue on Ford Ranger and Mazda BT50 engine is a blown head gasket. The failure of an EGR Cooler can result in the exhaust filling up with water, which creates a lack of water in the radiator which then leads to a blown head gasket.
TOYOTA / LAND CRUISER
Mostly caused by the oil pick-up in the sump getting choked up with carbon/debris, restricting the flow of oil.
Also, the entire Land Cruiser range, including Prado, D4D, 1HZ, 1HZDT, 4.5 petrol and 4lt V6 cylinder heads can be professionally and reliably repaired and or refurbished in-house and need not always be replaced.
